Embarking on the Duke of Edinburgh's Bronze Qualifying Adventurous Journey is a thrilling opportunity to put your outdoor skills to the test and explore nature in a meaningful way. This 2-day, 1-night journey is your chance to complete the final part of the Bronze Award, applying the skills you've learned in a real-world expedition setting.
During the journey, you'll kayak through the beautiful Mahurangi region, camping at locations such as Te Muri, Lagoon, or Mitre Bay. This self-sufficient, non-supported expedition challenges you to plan, navigate, and manage your own trip with minimal guidance, fostering independence and teamwork. You'll work together to handle everything from paddling techniques to campsite setup, all while experiencing the rewards of outdoor adventure.
