A highlight of the trip is Motuora Island, a predator-free sanctuary that offers a rare possible opportunity to encounter native birds such as the kiwi, bellbird, and saddleback in their natural environment. With its safe landing beaches, walking tracks, and sweeping views across the Hauraki Gulf, it’s an ideal location to unwind and camp under the stars. All camping equipment is provided, and your guides will cook hearty, delicious meals throughout the journey. The North Island brown kiwi (Apteryx mantelli) has been bred in a "kiwi crèche" on Motuora Island since the late 1990s and as part of a predator‑free rearing program before being released to the mainland.

Depending on the weather and tides, the itinerary may include exploring Te Muri Beach, a secluded stretch of coastline only accessible by foot or kayak, and Lagoon Bay, a quiet inlet perfect for swimming, short hikes, and wildlife spotting.
