On Sunday we are going to kayak from Sandspit to Matakana, exploring the river and stopping at the 8 Wired Brewery for food and refreshments afterwards.

Distance: Approx 2-2.5 hours paddling.
Difficulty: 2.5 on our 1-5 scale for day hikes.
Cost: $65 to hire a kayak with training. Plus $15 for car poolers

Toilets: At the starting point and Matakana
After Hike: 8 Wired Brewery
High Tide: 11:00 - 3.5 meter tide.
